CD Keys: E3 Roundup – The Sony Decimation
Let’s skip the pleasantries and get right down to it; Sony simply DESTROYED everything else in E3. They’ve had so many crazy announcements that the other developers and publishers were easy to ignore. Of course, there were those that held on to their own ground and were fantastic announcements nonetheless, but Sony clearly had majority of the interest at the show.
CD Keys: Tons of New IPs and Sequels
There are just so many new things put on display this E3 2016 and none have shown greater interest than those put out by Sony. But the biggest draw of the show was the appearance of one none other other than the rockstar of the game developing world, Hideo Kojima, with his newest IP, Death Stranding featuring Norman Reedus as the lead protagonist.
But that game’s got too much coverage already, so let’s take a look at some of the other powerhouses of E3.
Detroit: Become Human appears to be hype af despite not really having any gameplay elements on show. The concept in of itself was what intrigued most folks and it seems the popular trend for upcoming games is focused more on being narrative and story heavy rather than its potential for esports. Detroit: Become Human revolves around an android that has gone rogue, discovering her sentience and escaping those after her.
Another one of note is Horizon Zero Dawn, a veritable Monster Hunter title where technological creatures have overrun the Earth and have placed humanity on the sidelines. It’s one of the more interesting titles in E3 and certainly a huge title that’ll cause folks who haven’t chosen their console yet to buy a PS4 or, at the very least, some game keys.
Of course, we all already know of Final Fantasy XV and it’s boyband protagonists, so there’s really no need to go in depth with that. I’m just hoping it doesn’t turn out a crapfest, corridor-simulator like FFXIII.
On the Nintendo front, we’ve got some super hype from the next gen Zelda game that just looks so freaking gorgeous. With some tight graphics and amazing gameplay customization, as well as the focus on physics in combat, this is one title that everybody’s sure to be waiting anxiously for.
Finally, the new South Park game, The Fractured But Whole, is an epic sequel to the massively successful South Park: The Stick of Truth. After hearing comments from Obsidian that they would no longer want to develop further South Park games, it’s a relief that Ubisoft themselves decided to pick up the series in their stead. I’m hopeful that this game will have more content than the last title as the Stick of Truth wasn’t exactly generous at the end game.
It doesn’t matter who you’re rooting for, there’s a ton more of other games that we have not even discussed. There’s the new Quake Champions announcement, Battlefield 1 updates, the newest Halo, and a whole slew of other games. It’s not going to be a very good time to be poor to be buying all these cd keys when they come out.
