Y Defense against Magic: Village vs. Wizards in Clash of Clans Account
No matter if you have designed your base yourself or if you took a base from the internet, this guide is about designing and optimizing the outside of your base for your Clash of Clans Account. Many think the outside is just the place where the leftover buildings are, and that’s it. In fact, your outside is maybe the most viable part of your defensive line and you have some options to ruin your attacker’s day with a few adjustments.
Defending On the Outside against Clash of Clans Troops
Why is defending on the outside such an underrated part of the defense? Maxing walls and defenses and structuring the base is important as you upgrade your Clash of Clans Troops, for sure – but the outside so the place where your attacker needs to get his attack started.
If you manage to make the start fail or go wrong, the whole attack is not going be successful. You can’t build a building on a bad basement, and you can’t start a good attack on a bad start. The attacker has a single objective – getting his troops where he wants them to go – that’s called funneling and the goal is in 99% of the times the center of your base.
Obviously, your objective is making the attacker fail on his objective. You don’t want to have the troops go straight for your base and you don’t want the troop to go where your attacker wants them to go. Here are some defense mechanisms that will make the attacker have a hard time and “help” him fail.
Defending Against Wizard Funneling in Clash of Clans Account
Wizard Funneling Defense
Most commonly Wizards are used to clear the outside structures so the main troops of the attack will go to the inside of the base instead of walking around the base – nicely called “going shopping” around the base. If you’re able to make this harder, the attacker might fail and some troops will not go to the inside of your base. This might be enough to make the attack go wrong.
In most cases, the attacker will drop either a Golem or some Giants that will pull the attention of your defenses while the Wizards are cleaning on the outside. With some clever placement of longer range defenses you can prevent that. All you need to do is covering all the outside structures somehow – in my opinion that works best with Archer Towers in the first layer of walls.
They will cover the area quite good and if the attacker does a small mistake he might fail funneling at all.
