I might purchase a CD Key for MGS V on Steam for a second playthrough

I’m a big fan of the MGS series. I’m gonna get that out of the way first. That said, I can still openly admit that MGS V: The Phantom Pain is somewhat a bit of a disappointment. Yes, I’m not a blind fanboy who will gobble up and blindly praise everything Kojima churns out. He’s a genius, but from time to time he screws up too. I still haven’t gotten over the fact that he replaced David Hayter with Keifer Sutherland.

Regarding MGS V, it doesn’t even feel like the MGS I know and love anymore. It’s missing a touch of heart and soul. And to think it was even made with the presence of Hideo Kojima, who now has left Konami (or rather, kicked out, allegedly). I don’t know if it’s just because I haven’t gotten far enough in the game, but I noticed that the cinematics were lacking background music. It almost seems like the developers rushed the game out and neglected/forgot to put in music. The game feels incomplete. Not to mention, the game is over saturated with mindless side missions that you need to complete in order to progress through the main scenario. The main scenario missions are just too few and far between, with the major chuck of the game being side-missions. It’s still Kojima’s last MGS, so I’m still going to finish it on my console. Afterwards, I’ll buy its CD Key from Steam so I can play it on my PC for a second playthrough.

… But I will never buy a CD Key for its successor: Metal Gear Survive

I find the newest MGS spin-off, Metal Gear Survive, to be so ridiculous. It’s obviously a rip-off of Left 4 Dead. The story? Some of Big Boss’s men that survived the base attack back in MGS V: Ground Zeroes are suddenly warped to an alternate dimension filled with zombies. MGS is known to push the envelope in terms of exploring the strange and supernatural, but this is just pushing it. (no pun intended) It’s utter travesty and something that tarnishes the brand name of MGS. I will never purchase a CD Key for this stupid game.

Why are there even online ads for Metal Gear Survive CD Keys?

Metal Gear Survive doesn’t even come out until 2017, so I wonder why I see ads on the internet selling CD Keys for that upcoming game already. Weird. Nevertheless, I’m ignoring this game when it finally comes out. It would be the first contemporary Metal Gear entry that I will be skipping, and that has never happened before, so that’s saying a lot about this game.
